Storytellers are dreamers.

Can I tell you about my dream?

This podcast is my childhood dream come true—telling stories to folks all over the world from my cozy cabin in the mountains. Here's how that happened. And how you are a part of my dream.

👇🏻 I know this looks long, but it only takes about a minute to read. :)

When I was a kid, I used to love to sit next to my record player on my bedroom floor and play my 45s. While I changed the records, I would dream up stories and tell them into a hockey stick that in my imagination was a microphone. I lived in the suburbs, but I was fascinated with TV shows about the wilderness and mountain men. When I wasn't telling stories, I was usually making a fort in the backyard and pretending it was a cabin.

Today, I'm living that dream here at my tiny cabin in Northern California, and I'm so grateful for all of you who listen and support the podcast by sharing it with your friends. In less than a year, it grew from zero to thousands of listeners.

I'm in my mid fifties, and it would be lovely if this could become a project that funds my retirement when that time comes. To do this, I'm hoping that some of you will choose to support the podcast with $1 a month. And for that help, I've got a bunch of rewards for you as a dream supporter.

For those of you who love the podcast but can't afford to support it financially, I don't ever want money to keep you from having anything that helps you sleep, so just email me at and I'll send you an rss link you can put in your favorite podcast app that will give you access to all of this for free.

Also, if you can recommend the podcast to a friend who has a hard time falling asleep or leave a review on Apple Podcasts, I sure would appreciate it.

We really are all in this together and I'd love your help to realize my dream of making the podcast even better and telling more stories to help more people get better sleep.

Thank you so much.💜
