We had a welcome surprise this week. :)
Our 'mediterranean climate' doesn't often yield snow, but sometimes a burst of cold comes down from the north and turns everything white for a day or so and this week we had one of those.
I grew up in New England and blizzards were common in the 70s. I remember having to walk almost a mile to a neighbor's house for the day when our power and heat were out one year. That much snow feels like too much. This is just perfect.
Although there's no snow left at the cabin now, we'll be snowed in here for a few more days most likely since the snow is still a few feet deep up on the ridge we have to cross to drive out to civilization. And I'm ok with that.
