A sleepy Ukrainian folk tale that reminds us to be kind and help those in need.
I rescued Bodhi from our local shelter when he was just 11 weeks old. This week my heart is going out to all the people and animals suffering in Ukraine, and in the blog this week, I wrote about some of the ways we can all help. There are also links to an international charity to help refugees and their pets and a shelter outside of Kyiv you can donate to directly. It's at https://www.listentosleep.com/blog/helping-others-in-need/.
You can read this story for free (along with other classics from the public domain) at https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/29672.
If you like the podcast, please leave a review. It really does help other people find it.
When you support the podcast for as little as $3 a month, you'll get some perks to help you fall deeply asleep, including the podcast a day earlier without any ads. You'll also be helping me realize my dream of helping more people get better sleep at night and more peace during the day. :)
You can also get a shareable audiobook of the longer books I read on Listen To Sleep Plus. It's another way to support the podcast and get some extra bedtime stories without a monthly subscription. Each one is available to own for just $5.50 as chapterized mp3s that will play on any MP3 player.
Thank you for listening.💜
