#108 - The Garden Party

A beautifully descriptive, slice-of-life story from Katherine Mansfield about childhood innocence and caring for your neighbors.

Innocence, or collinsia heterophylla, is also the name of one of my favorite flowers, and they just started blooming up here on the mountain. Purple and white, they are a little less than a foot tall and look a little like tiny pagodas. You can see some pictures I took on the blog at https://www.listentosleep.com/blog/innocence/

You can read this story (and other classics from the public domain) by downloading it for free at https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/1429

If you like the podcast, please leave a review. It really does help other people find it.

When you support the podcast for as little as $3 a month, you'll get some perks to help you fall deeply asleep, including the podcast a day earlier without any ads. You'll also be helping me realize my dream of helping more people get better sleep at night and more peace during the day. :)

You can also get a shareable audiobook of the longer books I read on Listen To Sleep Plus. It's another way to support the podcast and get some extra bedtime stories without a monthly subscription. Each one is available to own for just $5.50 as chapterized mp3s that will play on any MP3 player.

Thank you for listening.💜
