Bodhi and I ran across a patch of canyon larkspur on a hike this week, and when I went to find out more about it, it led me down an amazing internet rabbit hole filled with information about the Yuki Native Americans, this land's original inhabitants. You can see pictures of the canyon larkspur flowers and find links to studies of Yuki uses for our native plants and vivid stories of their culture on my blog at https://www.listentosleep.com/blog/canyon-larkspur/.

You can read this story (and other classics from the public domain) by downloading it for free at https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/13437.
